An unusual proposition
The EB EINS is not really competing with other boats; it is competing with the decision to own a boat at all. The published 89 kg hull weight is the entire argument. If it holds in practice, the boat lives on a car roof or in a garage rather than on a berth or a trailer, which removes the two largest running costs of small-boat ownership. For lake and river use by someone without marina access, that is a genuinely different offer.
What the small pack means
A 5 kWh battery is very small in absolute terms, but it is being asked to move an extremely light hull. The realistic use case is short outings on inland water at modest speed — an hour or two of relaxed cruising, with hard running draining it quickly. Kaebon does not publish a headline top speed in the specification recorded here, so buyers should get speed and endurance figures in writing for the variant they are quoting on.
Caveats
Ten hours to charge is long for a pack this small, suggesting a basic onboard charger. The 89 kg figure needs clarification as to what it includes. And with the EB SECHS still an announcement, European buyers should establish warranty handling and parts lead times before ordering.
